Wyoming Youth Coalitions launched to build a statewide peer-to-peer network

Wyoming Youth Coalitions
The WASCOP – There is No Debate campaign – is guided by the belief that all youth deserve a space to feel connected, supported, and empowered. By establishing Wyoming Youth Coalitions, we seek to develop young leaders, empower them to build relationships in their local communities, and give them the opportunity to use their creativity and insights to encourage other youth to embrace positive, healthy lives.

Collaborating with Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), law enforcement, youth-serving agencies, nonprofits, and after-school programs, we will form youth coalitions of approximately 20-25 students with a youth advisor (typically an educator at a local school who would be paid a stipend to participate) in each of the 23 counties in Wyoming. These adults will act as mentors and encourage coalition members to see that they can achieve their dreams if they make positive life choices.
